Research interests: Jiang is interested in autonomic regulation by the nervous systems and local metabolites, especially in breathing and cardiovascular functions. Animal models, isolated cells and molecular subjects are used in the studies, including models of experimental diabetes and Autism spectrum disorders.
Jiang earned his M.D. equivalent degree in clinical medicine from Harbin Medical University and Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He completed post-doctoral work at the University of Auckland in Auckland, New Zealand and Yale University School of Medicine.
