Aaron Roseberry

Assistant Professor

Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology, Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., 2000

Research interests: Roseberry’s lab studies the role of the mesolimbic dopamine system in the neural control of feeding and body weight using electrophysiology, molecular genetics and behavioral approaches. He is particularly interested in how dopamine controls the hedonic or pleasurable aspects of feeding, how food acts as a ‘reward’ to activate dopamine reward pathways, and how these processes are altered with obesity.

Roseberry earned his Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology from Northwestern University and completed post-doctoral training at the Rockefeller University and the Vollum Institute at Oregon Health & Sciences University.
